Scottish Ratepayers' Forum

The Scottish Ratepayers' Forum was set up in 2003 to improve communication between business and Assessors and promote understanding of the rating system in Scotland. Representatives of business organisations and the Scottish Assessors Association meet regularly for this purpose.

A consultation carried out during 2006 recommended that outwith the preparation and immediate implementation phases of a Revaluation, meetings should be restricted to twice yearly and that a regular Newsletter be circulated electronically so as to keep members up to date. The SAA has agreed to prepare the Newsletter, deal with distribution and publish copies on this website.

In addition, the website already hosts links to the minutes of the Forum meetings.
