Valuation Notice
The Assessor is required to issue a Valuation Notice to the Proprietor, Tenant and Occupier named in the Valuation Roll when the Valuation Roll is amended. The Reason for issue is shown on the front of the notice. The Valuation Notice that you have received is not a rates bill.
The Assessor must make further information available when a Valuation Notice is issued, please view the information here.
If any of the Proprietor, Tenant or Occupier names shown on the notice are incorrect, please make the necessary amendments here or contact the Assessor at the contact address shown on the notice.
Non-Domestic rates bills are sent by the relevant billing authority who will use the Rateable Value to arrive at the bill. Bills are calculated by multiplying the Rateable Value by a rate set by the Scottish Government known as the ‘poundage’. For more information on billing and reliefs click here.
If you think your value is incorrect, you may be able to make a proposal to alter it. The deadline for making a proposal varies according to the circumstances. More information on Non-Domestic proposals is available here.
