Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, which came into force on 1 January 2005, gives you the right to access information held by Scottish public authorities, including Assessors.
From January 2005, any written request for information to a public authority is regarded as a request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act. You do not have to quote the Act, but you do have to make the request in writing either by correspondence, fax or e-mail.
The Assessor has adopted the Scottish Information Commissioner’s Model Publication Scheme 2018. The Assessor’s Guide to Information available through the Model Publication Scheme 2018 is available from the link below –
